What to Expect
We want you to understand our process so we can communicate effectively and eliminate unnecessary surprises on your job. Here’s a typical timeline for our staining projects:
- Estimate & Stain Color Selection
- Approval & Scheduling
- Wood Preparation
- Wood Staining
- Project Completion, Follow Up & Final Payment
Free Estimate
Once you have called or filled out our online form, a restoration consultant will come out to inspect your project. They will determine the wood condition and size of your structure, as well as, any details affecting the job. The consultant will fill out a professional, detailed proposal clearly showing the recommended work, size and total price.
If you are not home they will leave the proposal at your front door and follow up with an email and/or phone call to answer any questions you may have. You may choose your stain color from our website or meet in person to view samples and discuss the project if desired.
Approval & Scheduling
Once you approve the proposal, we require a fifty percent deposit to put you on the schedule and perform the work. Depending on the scope of the project we typically come out within a few days to clean and prep the wood for stain and do any repairs if needed.
Fence Stain Preparation
Cleaning and preparing the wood is an important step to restoring the beauty while maximizing its lifetime. In most situations, the wood requires a “drying” time of 24-48 hours. Agreed upon repairs will be done at this time.
In this video, we are “renewing” the faded wood (left side) before applying the stain. This clean wood fence will be ready to absorb the stain thoroughly, which will provide a longer lasting beautiful finish.
Fence Staining
When the wood has completed it’s preparation time, we return to apply the stain and seal in the rich color. Please keep in mind, the staining is weather dependent. Wind, rain, and temperature can all interrupt or postpone a job temporarily. It is our desire to complete your project as soon as possible when the weather cooperates. We encourage our customers to call or email us with any questions they may have and we will try to keep them informed of our schedule.
Project Completion & Follow Up
We follow up with our customers when the project is finished to address any questions or concerns they may have. A large percentage of our business is from referral’s and it is a priority that our customers are happy and satisfied with our quality work and professional staff.
